I’m Nyzar Trabxlsi (NZX) an art director and multidisciplinary artist from Tunis and based in Detroit. I work in graphic design, digital illustration, video editing, motion design, fashion and more. I’m also the founder of an experimental atelier and streetwear brand called “Fichier Caché” based in North Africa Through my work,
I coalesce colorful imagery with dark humor to elucidate the nuances of Maghrebi-Arab identity and culture. I am inspired by the flaws of society and the obstacles that creatives, in North Africa specifically and in the Global South more broadly, face amidst capitalism and inequality.

Original product conception, design, packaging, and promotional campaign for Fichier Caché and Indinya. My inspirations for this packaging design were the bright colors and arabesque-like decoration often used in 1980s-1990s food packaging from the MENA region.

BonVent

The inspiration for this album’s artwork was late 19th and early 20th century Tunisian stamps. I decided to revamp this particular stamp design of the three artisans because the trio’s synergy reflected that of 4lfa, Ktyb, and Mahdi Machfar.

WE WON’T STOP YHM X NZX

As a testament to the Palestinian people’s tenacity in face of settler colonialism and violence, I designed the “We Won’t Stop” t-shirt featuring an illustration of Hashem al-Jarousheh to sell for charity in Ya Habibi Market’s renowned store. The tee was featured in GQ Middle East and sold at Ya Habibi Market’s pop-up at the 2021 ComplexCON in Long Beach, California.
